Frances Stevenson is a printed textile designer/maker, part-time lecturer and part-time PhD researcher, working on the AHRC funded ‘Past, Present and Future Craft Practice’ project.
Research interests currently revolve around decorative pattern and pattern perception in relation to surface design, for example Jones (1886) and Yanagi (1972). She is examining the working process of the ‘pattern maker’ as well as the emotional response of the viewer. |
